Our first stop on the tour is at the Longues-sur-Mer Gun Battery, which is situated between Omaha Beach and Gold Beach.

We will talk about the four 155mm guns that had a range 8 miles and look at the threat they posed to the invading Allied forces.

Then look at the Allied action from both British & French ships, before concluding with the British troops who finally too the battery.

We will then move onto Gold Beach, one of the beaches threatened by these powerful guns.
