Review of D Day in Photographs book by Andrew Whitmarsh
The book is an excellent collection of both colour and black and white photographs and includes various maps.
It provides a very good overview of the D Day landings and is well worth reading, particularly if you have an interest in military history.
Book review of the book The Americans at Normandy
An interesting and informative description of the American involvement in the Normandy campaign as a whole. Charting the movement of US troops inland from the Omaha and Utah beach landings.
A tour of the Normandy beaches is a must, but this book then helps to complete the picture of the United States involvement in and contribution to the ultimate liberation of Europe.
